iPDF Self-service

Encrypt your National Insurance (NI) Number

When you complete an iPDF quiz the Trust needs a unique ID to identify you.

The Trust identifies you uniquely in the Trust Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system using your Assignment Number (also called your Employee Number) or your National Insurance (NI) Number.

Your unique ID allows the Trust to track your completed iPDF completions and record your compliance.

Staff are given an Assignment Number once they start in the Trust, your NI Number is therefore required to enable you to complete your core statutory and mandatory training before you start in the Trust.

To protect your data the Interactive PDF does not store your Actual NI Number, an Encrypted version of your NI Number is used and stored when you submit your iPDF quiz.
